What data we process
When you contact us by phone or email, we process your first and last name, contact details (phone or email), the dates of your stay, the number of guests and the content of your message. During the stay itself we additionally process the identification data required to keep the guest register (see below).
Purpose and legal basis
We process enquiry data in order to handle your booking request and to communicate with you before concluding an accommodation contract, on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps).
Guest register and reporting of stay
As an accommodation provider we have a legal obligation to keep a register (book) of accommodated guests. For this purpose, at check-in we process the guest's identification data to the extent of first and last name, date of birth, permanent address and identity document number, together with the start and end dates of the stay. We process this data on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) GDPR (compliance with a legal obligation), in particular under Slovak Act No. 582/2004 Coll. on local taxes and the local fee for the purposes of the accommodation tax, and Act No. 253/1998 Coll. on the reporting of residence of citizens of the Slovak Republic. When accommodating foreign nationals, we are additionally obliged to report their stay to the foreign police department on the official form under Act No. 404/2011 Coll. on the residence of foreigners, in the manner and within the time limit set by that act. Providing this data is a statutory requirement; without it we cannot provide accommodation. We retain register data for the period set by the relevant legislation.
Retention period
We keep non-binding booking data for the period necessary to handle the request and possibly conclude a contract, but no longer than 24 months from first contact, unless a longer period follows from accounting or other statutory reasons. Data processed on the basis of a legal obligation is kept for the period set by the relevant legislation.
Data recipients
We process data from calls and emails directly, or through our email and web hosting provider. We provide guest register data to the competent public authorities (in particular the municipality and the foreign police unit) to the extent and under the conditions set by law. We do not share data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies
This website does not use analytical or marketing cookies. The Google Maps link in the Contact section opens the map in a new tab only when you click it — the page itself does not load the map in the background.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to rectify, erase or restrict its processing, to data portability and to object to processing. You can exercise your rights at info@penziondaniela.sk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.
